Motorcycle crash closes eastbound Bridge Blvd in South Valley

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a crash involving a motorcycle Thursday night at a South Valley intersection, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred on Bridge Boulevard Southwest at Cannon Road Southwest, in the Five Points neighborhood just southwest of Albuquerque. It was first tweeted by the BCSO shortly before 9:09 p.m., when deputies had already arrived on the scene.

Authorities have not indicated a cause of the wreck or whether another vehicle was involved, but all eastbound lanes of Bridge Boulevard were closed as a result.


By 9:32 p.m., more than 20 minutes later, the scene was announced cleared and all lanes were reopened to the public.


No information regarding the condition of the rider has been released at this time.
