Greg Abel Albuquerque Personal Injury Lawyer

I had 17 years of experience as a trial lawyer in Illinois before joining Parnall Law Firm. Here at Parnall Law, I’ve been continuing to focus my practice on plaintiff’s personal injury cases—in particular automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents.

I have been dealing with the effects of motor vehicle accidents since long before I became an attorney. After graduating from high school in southern Indiana, I initially ran my family’s business—a farm and auto body shop. After the family business was sold, I then managed another auto body shop and worked for an insurance appraisal company before realizing I wanted to pursue a career as a lawyer.

I received an undergraduate degree in political science from Indiana University Southeast in 1997 and then enrolled at Southern Illinois University School of Law, where I received my J.D. in 2000.

I’ve long been interested in helping other people. In addition to my studies in law school, I tutored first-year contract law students during my second and third year and volunteered in an elder law clinic to assist low-income clients with their legal needs.

After law school, I worked for three years in a firm in Mattoon, Illinois, and then for 14 years in the law firm of Hausmann-McNally, S.C., serving as the lead attorney in the firm’s Decatur, Illinois office.

My wife Dorene and I have two children, Jennifer and Robert. In my spare time, I pursue a passion for auto racing.
