Nicholas J. Trost Albuquerque Lawyer

I have a deep understanding of how insurance companies operate. Before joining Parnall Law, I worked for several years in a law firm that defended insurance companies against claims and actions brought by injured individuals.

With Parnall Law, however, I am using my knowledge to benefit people who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others.

I grew up in a close-knit Albuquerque family, and my parents and extended family instilled in me the values of hard work and integrity. I attended high school at Bosque School, where the faculty awarded me the Gerald R. Ford Character Award as a senior. The award honors the legacy of President Ford who “followed his conscience despite political cost.” I have been recognized as a Bosque alumni who has continually manifested the school’s core values of Scholarship, Community, and Integrity, through my contributions to my community, career, avocation, education, or causes.

I then headed to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, where I majored in Communications—Journalism, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. As an undergraduate, I worked in the newsroom of KIRO-7 TV, Seattle’s CBS affiliate, and it was there that I decided that I wanted to become a lawyer. At that time, I decided to become a lawyer so I could make a larger, more expansive impression on the world.

After graduation, I returned to my home state to attend the University of New Mexico School of Law, where I served as a member of the New Mexico Law Review and the ABA Moot Court Team. I graduated cum laude in 2013 and began my legal career handling mostly insurance-defense cases as an attorney with an Albuquerque law firm.

I did take some plaintiff’s cases with that firm, however, and I realized I much preferred them. One case in particular made a big impact on me: I represented an individual who was injured after being T-boned in a motor-vehicle accident and I realized that I wanted to use my skills and experience to represent similarly situated individuals against insurance companies and other entities.

When an opportunity arose to join the Parnall Law Team, I jumped at the opportunity. Joining Parnall Law has been one of the highlights of my personal and professional life. I wake up every morning excited to start working. I love fighting for my clients. I love helping them transform their lives after an incident that could have derailed them. I find it so much more rewarding than representing big, rich, faceless, and stingy insurance companies.

During my years in Seattle, I became a passionate fan of the University of Washington Huskies football team and I remain an avid fan today (Go Dawgs). I also enjoy playing golf and spending time with my family. My wife, Quiana, is my rock and my biggest fan. My two (2) girls, Adelina (5), and Paloma (2), are an absolute blessing and teach me so much about life and how we need to appreciate it. My Spanish Water Dog, Cádiz, represents everything that is fun and loving in life.
