Parnall Law Named a Top Workplace in New Mexico

Albuquerque Journal recognizes Parnall Law as one of the best small-sized workplaces in the state.

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO (June 3, 2020) – Parnall Law is one of the top places to work in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Journal announced last week. As the only law firm on this year’s Top Workplaces list, Parnall Law is honored to receive this prestigious award.

“Recognition as one of the best places to work in New Mexico demonstrates the positive culture of our firm,” founding attorney Bert Parnall. “Our clients reap the direct benefits of our healthy workplace atmosphere, as it translates into attentive client service that gets the results injured people need.”

The honor was based on a survey of employees across the state conducted by leading research organization Energage, in partnership with the Albuquerque Journal. From December 2019 to March 2020, Energage invited employees around the country to nominate their employers for the award.

Out of the 50 companies nominated in New Mexico, Energage gathered responses from nearly 10,000 employees, who answered questions about their employer’s workplace culture. They categorized the nominated companies according to size and used employees’ responses to rank the top-scoring employers within those size groups.

Parnall Law ranked number four in the category of small-sized workplaces in New Mexico. Parnall Law was the only law firm on this year’s list.

The eighth annual Top Workplaces assessment ranked workplaces according to employees’ answers about crucial employee engagement topics, such as alignment with the organization’s values, workplace quality, productivity, confidence in the organization’s leaders, and basics like pay and benefits.

It also gauged whether employees feel the organization provides them with meaningful work and offers an environment where managers invest in employees’ development. In addition, it surveyed whether workers feel challenged to grow professionally, as well as the organization’s culture of caring for and appreciating employees.

Winners of New Mexico’s Top Workplaces awards are usually honored as part of an annual Top Workplaces event and job fair. Unfortunately, the event had to be postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but organizers are hoping to reschedule the event this summer to give job seekers the opportunity to speak with these top employers.
