Rollover semi crash closes section of US-380 in SW Lincoln County

LINCOLN COUNTY, NM — Part of U.S. State Route 380 remains closed following a rollover semi-truck wreck that occurred nearly two weeks ago in southwest Lincoln County, according to NM Roads.

The accident impacted a stretch of US-380 at mile marker 65, near F Avenue and East Avenue. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index on Friday, December 22, at 4:15 a.m.

Following the wreck, motorists were instructed to find alternate routes as emergency crews and vehicles responded to the scene.

While officials did not immediately provide an estimated clearance time, no updates about the closure has been released as of this writing.

It’s unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt and/or transported to a hospital.

 

APD called to collision on San Mateo Blvd in Quigley Park area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle accident was reported last Thursday morning, December 28, in northeast Albuquerque’s Quigley Park neighborhood, according to APD Traffic.

The crash took place at the corner of San Mateo Boulevard Northeast and Candelaria Road Northeast. Officers responded to the scene at around 8:30 a.m.

Following the incident, the department has not released any further details indicating the circumstances or the types of vehicles involved.


Officials have not said whether anyone was injured or had to be transported to a hospital.

 

Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle on I-25 near SE Santa Fe

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A 24-year-old woman lost her life Tuesday, January 2, following a pedestrian crash on Interstate 25 near southeast Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene of the fatal incident at milepost 289, about a mile north of U.S. Route 285.

Preliminary details indicate the young woman was inside a vehicle parked along the shoulder of the roadway when, for reasons still unclear, she exited the car. Moments later, she was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

The SFSO confirmed she was later pronounced deceased, but did not say whether she died at the scene or at a hospital.

Authorities also have not clarified whether the incident was a hit-and-run. No information about the driver, arrests, or pending charges has been released.
