ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A semi-truck overturned Monday morning closing part of northbound Interstate 25 in south Albuquerque, according to KOAT.

The accident impacted the northbound lanes of I-25 at Exit 215 to New Mexico State Road 47, near Isleta Resort & Casino.

It was unclear what led to the rollover or whether another vehicle was involved, but no major injuries were reported.

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, where traffic was backed up. Northbound motorists coming from Los Lunas were advised to seek an alternate route.

A section of the northbound interstate was shut down following the wreck, but by the time KOAT issued an update at 8:08 a.m., one lane had reopened in the area.
