Property damage reported after crash at downtown Albuquerque tattoo shop

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A truck crashed into a downtown Albuquerque tattoo business on New Year’s Day, causing significant property damage, reports KRQE.

The accident happened at Happy Tattoo, located at the corner of Lomas Boulevard and Sixth Street, at about 10:00 p.m.

While it’s unclear what caused the driver to crash, the business owner, Chris Partrain, said the back end of a truck slammed through the structure, causing an entire wall to collapse.

Two weeks following the incident, Partrain said additional damage has since surfaced in the building, which was erected in 1901.

No major injuries have been reported.

 

At least 1 left hurt following crash on I-25 SB at Montaño Rd

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Injuries were reported late Sunday afternoon on Interstate 25 in northeast Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

The collision unfolded on the southbound lanes of I-25 at Exit 228 to Montaño Road Northeast. Albuquerque Police responded to the scene at around 4:21 p.m.

Following the accident, the department has not provided any details indicating the cause of the accident or the types of vehicles involved.


No major injuries have been confirmed at this time.

 

Injuries reported following rollover wreck at south Roswell intersection

CHAVES COUNTY, NM — A multi-vehicle crash last Friday afternoon in south Roswell left at least one person injured, reports KOAT.

The accident was reported at the corner of South Main Street and Poe Street, prompting a response from Roswell Fire Department crews and Roswell Police at about 2:00 p.m.

Neither agency has released a sequence of events leading up to the wreck, but one vehicle overturned and at least one person suffered minor injuries.

Authorities had both east and westbound traffic on Poe Street re-routed to accommodate first responders at the scene.
