Pedestrian hit, killed by vehicle on 4th St NW in north Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Thursday morning following a pedestrian collision in north Albuquerque’s Monkbridge Gardens area, reports KRQE.

Albuquerque Police said the fatal incident occurred near 4th Street Northwest and Candelaria Road, at about 5:30 a.m.

The circumstances around the event have not been disclosed, but officials confirmed the pedestrian was struck and fatally injured by a vehicle. First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Motorists were told to expect delays in the area during the response and investigation.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver remained at the scene. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
