Officer collides with pedestrian while chasing suspect near Alvarado Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, an officer hit a pedestrian while pursuing a car-jacking suspect near San Mateo Blvd NE and Haines Ave NE on Monday.

A 17-year-old male stole another person’s vehicle at gunpoint near 8100 San Joaquin Ave SE. Officers spotted the teen driving the stolen car and chased him.

An officer hit a pedestrian during the chase. Rescue crews transported the pedestrian to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities arrested the suspect near San Mateo Blvd NE and Haines Ave NE. They charged him with unlawful carrying of a handgun, robbery with a deadly weapon, aggravated fleeing, and attempt to commit a second-degree felony.

Wreck disrupts traffic on US 84 near Chili

CHILI, NM – An auto accident blocked traffic on US 84 a mile north of Chili on Thursday, according to NMRoads.

First responders were called to the scene around 10:43 a.m.

Officials have not disclosed more details.

Crash near Clayton Heights-Lomas Del Cielo injures at least 1 person

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to APD Traffic, at least one person was hurt in a wreck at Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Blvd SE on Wednesday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 7:10 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
