Motorcyclist fatally collides with sedan near Vista Sandia

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, a motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle collision near 86th St and Sedge Creek Rd SW on Saturday.

The motorcyclist hit a sedan driver as they were making a left turn onto 86th St around 6:30 pm.

Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and transported the sedan driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Baby dies following semi-truck crash on US 87 near Raton

RATON, NM – A 10-day-old baby girl died after the vehicle she was in was rear-ended by a semi-truck driver on US 87 near Raton in February, according to KOAT.

Kiustyn Delatorre and his family were driving from Washington State to Florida when the crash happened.

The crash killed Delatorre’s 10-day-old baby. Delatorre’s wife, Claudia Morales, had six ribs broken and a brain bleed because of the crash. The couple’s 3-year-old son had a broken femur. He is unable to walk.

The semi-truck driver told New Mexico State Police that he had headphones on and was talking to his dad on the phone when the collision occurred.

The family is seeking manslaughter charges for the death of their baby.

The New Mexico State Police is investigating the incident.

Deputies investigate motorcycle crash in south Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to BCSO, deputies are investigating a motorcycle collision that happened near Broadway Blvd SE and I-25 on Sunday.

The incident happened around 8:51 pm.

Officials have not provided additional details.
