Man hit, killed by motorcycle on San Antonio Dr in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A man died early Tuesday after a pedestrian crash involving a motorcycle in northeast Albuquerque, according to KOB4.

The fatal incident occurred in the area of San Antonio Drive and Louisiana Boulevard. Albuquerque Police were dispatched to the scene at about 12:14 a.m.

Investigators say two people were riding a motorcycle and traveling eastbound on San Antonio Drive, just east of Louisiana Boulevard. At one point, a male pedestrian ran into the roadway and into the motorcycle’s direct path, resulting in a crash.

The pedestrian, who was fatally injured, was pronounced deceased, confirmed officials.

The operator and passenger of the motorcycle, who both suffered minor injuries, were transported by paramedics to UNM Hospital. Doctors have indicated that the patients are set to make a complete recovery.

An investigation remains underway, but Albuquerque Police said pedestrian error is believed to have been at fault.
