Hit-and-run suspect sought after fatal crash in Five Points area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A 57-year-old man died late last Friday, July 14, after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Albuquerque’s Five Points neighborhood, reports KRQE.

The fatal incident was reported in the 300 block of La Vega Drive Southwest at around 10:45 p.m.

Details remain limited at this time, but Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find the male victim unconscious. He was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after.

At this time, authorities have not released a description of the driver, who fled in the striking vehicle following the crash.
