DWI suspect arrested after crash off NM-475 in NE Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM — Authorities arrested a 24-year-old driver for suspected impairment over the past weekend following a collision on New Mexico State Road 475 in northeast Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

While the preliminary crash report does not specify when the wreck occurred, the incident was reported between January 26 and 28, in the 1400 block of NM-475.

Santa Fe County deputies were initially alerted to a vehicle that had collided with a snowbank. Shortly after arriving at the scene, deputies observed that the driver, Santa Fe resident Dwayne Muniz, displayed signs of intoxication.

Muniz was placed under custody and then booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

No injuries have been reported following the event.

 

APD responds to accident on Juan Tabo Blvd near Manzano High School

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle crash was reported late Tuesday afternoon in east Albuquerque’s Jeanne Bellamah East neighborhood, according to APD Traffic.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Juan Tabo Boulevard and Lomas Boulevard Northeast, near Manzano High School. Officers arrived on the scene at around 3:30 p.m.

Following the incident, the department has not issued a statement or sequence of events.


It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was hurt or had to be taken to the hospital.

 

Collision closes part of westbound Rio Bravo Blvd in SE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash Thursday morning in southeast Albuquerque’s San Jose area, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred on Rio Bravo Boulevard (New Mexico State Road 500) at Prince Street. It was first reported by the BCSO at 12:11 p.m., some time after deputies and emergency responders had already arrived on the scene.

Officials have not said what caused the accident or how many vehicles were impacted, but all westbound lanes of Rio Bravo Boulevard were shut down at the intersection. Motorists were ask to find alternate routes as crews tended to the area.

No information regarding potential injuries has been shared.
