SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A 22-year-old driver was arrested for suspected DUI Thursday following a collision near a southwest Santa Fe industrial neighborhood, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

A SFCSO deputy responded to the scene on Sandia, a couple blocks north of County Road 44 (Shenandoah Trail), after receiving a call about a motor vehicle wreck.

While the events leading up to the crash were not specified, the responding deputy said the driver, Javier Gonzales, displayed signs of impairment.

After a series of Standardized Field Sobriety tests were administered, the driver was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

No serious injuries were reported in connection to the crash, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.
