Driver strikes, kills woman in wheelchair at gas station on 6th St NW

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE, a driver fatally collided with a woman in a wheelchair at Love’s Travel Stop on 6th St NW on Tuesday.

The driver of a blue Dodge truck was heading north on 6th St NW  when he turned into the gas station’s parking lot and hit the woman around 1 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital, where she died.

Authorities do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision.

Traffic accident reported near Jeanne Bellamah East

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – An automobile accident was reported at Juan Tabo Blvd NE and Sierra Grande Ave NE on Tuesday, according to APD Traffic.

The incident happened around 5:25 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Emergency crews respond to wreck near Stronghurst

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – First responders were called to the scene of a traffic accident at Edith Blvd NE and Candelaria Rd NE on Tuesday, according to APD Traffic.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 3:03 p.m.

Officials have not provided additional information.
