Driver left hurt after rollover semi crash off I-25 in south Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was injured Tuesday morning when their semi-truck overturned off Interstate 25 in south Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred on the westbound side of Rio Bravo Boulevard Southeast, near the I-25 southbound exit ramp, in the city’s San Jose area. It was first reported by the BCSO at 7:08 a.m., when deputies had already arrived on the scene.

Officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the crash, but driver of the semi suffered minor injuries. It was unclear whether the patient required transport to a hospital.

A section of westbound Rio Bravo Boulevard was shut down during the emergency response and investigation.


Shortly after 12:00 p.m., nearly five hours later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and all lanes were announced reopened.


The sheriff’s office has not provided further information at this time.
