Driver issued summons following crash on Los Pinos Rd near SW Santa Fe

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — A 30-year-old man received a summons following a collision on Los Pinos Road near southwest Santa Fe, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

While officials have not confirmed the exact date and time, the report indicated the incident occurred at the intersection with County Road 54B sometime between Thursday, February 29, and Friday, March 1.

Shortly after deputies were called to the scene after receiving reports about a collision, the driver, Santa Fe resident Jesus Ponce, was found to be driving with a revoked license due to a previous DWI.

It was unclear whether Ponce was seriously injured, but the crash report indicates he was issued a summons because he required “medical attention.”

No further details have been made available.

 

Accident closes part of NM-76 near east Santa Cruz

SANTA FE COUNTY, NM — Authorities were called to a collision Wednesday morning that blocked part of New Mexico State Road 76 in both directions near east Santa Cruz, according to a community Facebook group page.

The crash happened on a stretch of NM-76 near Deaguero Lane, near the arroyo between Cuartelez and La Puebla turnoff. It was first reported some time before 9:43 a.m.

Very few details have been made available at this time, but preliminary details indicate a white passenger car and a white truck were involved.

No information regarding potential injuries or pending charges has been confirmed.

 

Accident partially blocks I-40 WB ramp at Big I

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were called to a collision early Friday afternoon on an Interstate 40 offramp in northeast Albuquerque, according to NM Roads.

The accident happened on the Exit 159 connector ramp from westbound I-40 to northbound I-25, at the Big I near Netherwood Park. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 12:47 p.m.

Motorists were asked to slow down and use extra caution in the area, as crews had the ramp’s right lane closed in the immediate aftermath.

As of this writing, no information regarding the cause of the crash or the involved parties has been disclosed.
