Crews respond to crash on I-10 EB in north Hidalgo County

HIDALGO COUNTY, NM — Authorities were called to a wreck Wednesday evening that blocked part of eastbound Interstate 10 in northeast Roadforks, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on the eastbound lanes at milepost 10, just west of the exit to New Mexico State Road 338. It was first recorded by NMDOT shortly after 6:00 p.m.

While the circumstances of the crash remain unknown, motorists were asked to slow down and approach the scene with caution. Delays were expected as emergency personnel worked to clear the roadway.


As of this writing, local agencies have not confirmed any major injuries in the event.
