Collision closes two lanes on I-40 WB at Coors Blvd in NW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police responded to a crash Friday morning on Interstate 40 near Albuquerque’s West Bluff area, according to APD Traffic.

The accident was reported on the westbound lanes at Exit 155 to Coors Boulevard Northwest. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 6:53 a.m.

Details are limited, but officials said the crash had two right lanes blocked in the immediate aftermath.


At this time, it remains unclear what caused the wreck, how many vehicles were involved, and whether anyone was seriously hurt.
