Collision closes part of I-25 SB at Comanche Rd in NE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities were dispatched to a vehicle wreck early Wednesday that blocked part of Interstate 25 in northeast Albuquerque, reports KOAT.

The accident happened on the southbound side of I-25 at around 4:00 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what events led up to the crash or how many vehicles were impacted, but all southbound lanes of I-25 were closed for over 1.5 hours.

All southbound traffic was forced to detour off I-25 at Comanche Road until about 5:45 a.m., when the interstate reopened.

At this time, neither the New Mexico State Police nor the Albuquerque Police Department has disclosed any details regarding the involved parties or potential injuries.
