ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked a right lane on Interstate 40 in east Albuquerque’s Uptown neighborhood, according to NM Roads.
The crash impacted the westbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 163, just east of Louisiana Boulevard Northeast. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 10:25 a.m.
Officials have not indicated a possible cause of the wreck or shared any details about the involved vehicles, but the right westbound lane was closed in the immediate aftermath.
Motorists were asked to slow down and use extra caution as they approach the area. Alternate routes were recommended.
