Collision blocks part of Rio Grande Blvd in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a vehicle crash late Wednesday morning on Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at the intersection with Chavez Road Northwest, just east of the Tinnin Farms area. It was first tweeted by the BCSO shortly after 11:30 a.m., when deputies had already arrived at the scene.

While it remains unclear what led up to the wreck, no serious injuries were immediately reported.

Both north and southbound lanes of Rio Grande Boulevard were shut down during the response.
