BCSO investigates fatal collision on I-25 SB in south Albuquerque

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — A vehicle accident early Sunday, February 11, near south Albuquerque’s Mountain View area has claimed at least one life, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal wreck prompted a full shutdown of southbound Interstate 25 at Exit 315 to Broadway Boulevard Southeast (New Mexico State Road 47). It was first reported by the BCSO at 3:15 a.m.

Officials did not immediately provide details about the circumstances of the event, but at the time of the initial report, BCSO deputies were conducting an investigation and working to process the scene.

As of this writing, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed the number of those killed, and it’s unclear whether any else was seriously injured.

Injuries reported following crash on I-25 NB near Clayton Heights-Lomas del Cielo

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — At least one person suffered injuries late last Saturday, February 10, due to a collision on Interstate 25 in southeast Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.

Authorities responded to the scene on the northbound lanes of I-25 at Avenida Cesar Chavez (Exit 223), near the city’s Clayton Heights-Lomas del Cielo neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call some time before 10:46 p.m.

At this time, no information about the cause or nature of the accident has been made available, but injuries were reported.


Local agencies have not yet confirmed the number of those hurt or the severity of their conditions. It’s unclear whether anyone is expected to be charged.

 

APD, AFR responds to wreck on Central Ave in SW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Emergency crews responded to a collision last Friday afternoon, February 9, in southwest Albuquerque’s Vecinos Del Bosque area, according to APD Traffic.

The accident happened on a span of Central Avenue Southwest at Sunset Road Southwest, in an area west of the Rio Grande. It was first reported some time before 4:21 p.m.

While no information about the events leading up to the crash has been shared, both Albuquerque Police and Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene.


At this time, neither agency has indicated any major injuries or hospital transports in connection to the wreck.
