BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — One person lost their life Wednesday morning as a result of a crash on New Mexico State Road 337 near southeast Tijeras, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened on a stretch of NM-337 near Oak Flat Road (mile marker 20). Deputies and first responders arrived on the scene some time before 6:12 a.m.
Officials have not shared any information about the events leading up to the wreck, but all northbound and southbound lanes of the roadway were shut down during the response and investigation. Motorists were asked to find alternate routes.
By 9:37 a.m., more than three hours after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene, restoring all travel lanes to the public.

It’s unclear whether anyone else suffered injuries and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Albuquerque Police responded to a collision Wednesday morning in southeast Albuquerque’s Nob Hill neighborhood, according to APD Traffic.
The crash happened at the intersection with Carlisle Boulevard, prompting a response from officers at about 9:19 a.m.
As of this writing, the department has not confirmed any injuries in the event, and it’s unclear how many vehicles were involved.

MCKINLEY COUNTY, NM — A semi-truck overturned during a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 near Gallup, according to NM Roads.
The rollover wreck occurred on the eastbound highway near mile markers 25 and 26, just west of Superman Canyon Road. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 8:12 a.m.
Very few details regarding the cause and nature of the accident have been provided, but the eastbound driving lane was shut down as emergency vehicles arrived on the scene.
Motorists were urged to slow down and take extra caution in the area.
As of this writing, local officials have not confirmed any injuries or hospital transports from the area.
