ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Injuries were reported Saturday morning following a collision on Interstate 40 in east Albuquerque, according to APD Traffic.
The wreck occurred on the westbound lanes of I-40 at Exit 164 to Wyoming Boulevard Northeast, in the city’s Mesa Village neighborhood. Albuquerque Police responded to the scene at around 6:16 a.m.
Few details have been disclosed, but the department indicated that at least one person was injured.
A section of westbound I-40 was closed one exit back at Eubank Boulevard during the response and initial investigation.
At this time, local agencies have not confirmed the number of people hurt or specified the extent of injuries sustained.
