BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a crash Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40 near northwest Edgewood, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision took place on the westbound side of I-40 near mile marker 183, just east of Mountain Valley Road. It was first reported by the BCSO at 3:27 p.m., when deputies had already arrived on the scene.
Although no details regarding the circumstances of the event have been shared, all westbound traffic of I-40 was forced to get by through only two open lanes.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately say how many vehicles were impacted or whether anyone was seriously injured.
