COLFAX COUNTY, NM — Authorities were called to a collision early Thursday that shut down part of U.S. Highway 64 near Maxwell, according to NM Roads.
The crash happened on a span of US-64 at mile marker 323, in an area about 13 miles southwest of Raton. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 1:17 a.m.
Very little information has been shared, but as of 12:30 p.m., more than 11 hours later, the closure remains in place, suggesting a major accident and a more involved emergency response.
