Accident closes section of Isleta Blvd in South Valley

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a collision early Tuesday that blocked part of Isleta Boulevard in South Valley, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened on a span of the road between Raymac Road and Le Avenue Southwest. It was first reported by the BCSO at 12:39 a.m.

No information concerning the cause of the wreck was made available, but all northbound and southbound lanes of Isleta Boulevard were shut down in the area.


Motorists were asked to find alternate routes around the scene until about 1:50 a.m., more than an hour later, when all lanes were reported reopened.

As of this writing, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed whether anyone was seriously hurt in the event.
