Woman struck, killed by FedEx truck in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, NM – New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred in Las Cruces on Sunday morning.

A report by KTSM states that the incident took place on Interstate 10 near mile marker 136. According to State Police, a woman was walking in the middle of the eastbound lanes of I-10 when she was struck by an eastbound FedEx commercial motor vehicle.

The pedestrian died at the scene. She was identified as 27-year-old April Preciado of El Paso, Texas. The truck driver did not appear to have been injured.

Crash closes lane, causes delays on Interstate 40 east

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Drivers were alerted to a crash impacting traffic along Interstate 40 in Albuquerque on Friday morning.

An advisory on NMRoads, posted at 10:05 a.m., stated that the accident occurred on I-40 eastbound at the exit ramp for Carlisle Boulevard. The right lane of the interstate was shut down while emergency crews worked the scene.

Drivers were advised to expect delays through the area.

Deputies respond to vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities were investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash that occurred in southwest Albuquerque late Tuesday night.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies were on the scene of the incident at Coors Boulevard SW and Gun Club Road SW shortly after 10 p.m. The pedestrian who was struck was reported to be in stable condition.

All southbound lanes of Coors Boulevard were closed in the area for the investigation.
