Woman hurt in wrong-way crash caused by drunk driver in southwest Santa Fe

SANTA FE, NM – According to KOAT, a woman was hurt in a wrong-way collision caused by an impaired driver on St. Michael’s Drive near Warner Avenue on Friday.

Starlyn Staley, 22, was driving west in the eastbound lanes of St. Michael’s Drive when she hit a vehicle operated by a 53-year-old woman head-on at 9:39 p.m.

First responders transported the 53-year-old woman to an area hospital with two broken legs.

An Animal Services officer transported a dog from Staley’s vehicle to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. The dog was not hurt.

Authorities charged Staley with reckless driving, great bodily harm by vehicle (DWI), possession of alcoholic beverages in open containers in a motor vehicle, and expired driver’s license.

Crash near Montgomery Heights injures at least 1 person

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – At least one person was hurt in a wreck at southbound Carlisle Boulevard Northeast and Montgomery Boulevard Northeast on Monday, according to APD Traffic.

The incident was reported to authorities around 8:16 p.m.

Police respond to accident near Netherwood Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to APD Traffic, emergency crews were called to an auto accident at westbound Interstate 40 and northbound Interstate 25 on Monday.

Officials posted about the incident on X around 7:12 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
