Woman critically injured after vehicle crashes into pole in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person was critically injured in a vehicle crash in Albuquerque early Thursday morning, KOB reported.

The wreck took place in the area of Montgomery Boulevard and San Mateo Boulevard at about 5:15 a.m. Police said a vehicle collided with a light pole on San Mateo Boulevard and then crashed into the parking lot of a Walgreens store.

A woman was transported to an area hospital where she was listed in critical condition. A southbound lane of San Mateo Boulevard was shut down while police and first responders worked the scene.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area for several hours during the investigation.

Accident causes closures, delays on Interstate 40 westbound

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Traffic was disrupted along Interstate 40 in Albuquerque on Friday afternoon due to a crash.

An advisory on NMRoads at 1:17 p.m. stated that the accident happened on I-40 westbound at mile marker 160 near the University exit.

The two right lanes were shut down along I-40 west to the Interstate 25 interchange. Drivers were advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.

BCSO responds to crash on eastbound Alameda Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene of a crash in Albuquerque on Thursday evening.

According to the BCSO’s traffic alert at 6:30 p.m., the wreck took place on eastbound Alameda Boulevard at Rio Grande. No injuries were reported.

All eastbound lanes of Alameda Boulevard were closed during the accident response.
