Woman arrested in connection with fatal North Valley hit-and-run

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A suspect is under arrest in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in northwest Albuquerque last Monday, KRQE reported.

The victim, identified as Jesus Ramos, was found lying on the side of the street near the North Valley after having been struck by a vehicle.

Surveillance video from the scene captured a blue pickup truck striking Ramos, police said. After the vehicle was found in a lot, investigators learned that it was registered to 54-year-old Rosario Lage. She was arrested Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused death or injury.

Accident slows traffic on U.S. 491 north of Twin Lakes

TWIN LAKES, NM – An accident slowed traffic in a portion of McKinley County on Saturday afternoon, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

An advisory posted on NMRoads at 12:02 p.m. stated that the crash shut down the northbound right lane of U.S. 491 at mile marker 17, north of Twin Lakes.

Drivers were urged to drive with caution, reduce speeds and obey all posted traffic signs until the wreck could be cleared.

Isleta Boulevard closed after vehicle crashes into telephone pole

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert following a car wreck on Saturday afternoon.

The advisory at 10:28 p.m. said that a vehicle had crashed into a telephone pole just north of Raymac Road. Isleta Boulevard SW was temporarily blocked in both directions near Meeks Road SW while emergency crews worked the scene.

There was no immediate word on whether anyone had been injured.
