ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A crash this past weekend near the San Felipe de Neri School in Albuquerque’s Old Town is drawing attention to the area’s recent history of similar incidents, reports KOB4.
The wreck impacted a fence and adobe wall around the campus, located off Central Avenue and Lomas Boulevard Northwest.
Preliminary details indicate a vehicle jumped a curb and traveled across nearby rocks before slamming into the adobe wall, breaking it into pieces. The iron fencing was also downed.
It was unclear whether the driver reported the crash to dispatchers, but the involved car had been moved away from the area by Monday morning.
KOB4 crews observed that an orange construction net placed on the school fence following a September crash was still in place.
Authorities have not released any information about the circumstances of the incident or confirmed any major injuries.
