Update: Officials ID marines killed in Santa Teresa crash

SANTA TERESA, NM – According to KRQE, officials have released the names of the two Marines who were killed in a crash near the Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station on New Mexico 9 Tuesday morning.

The wreck occurred around 8:50 a.m.

While authorities have not provided information on the cause of the collision, the U.S. Northern Command has said that the service members were deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border as part of the Joint Task Force-Southern Border.

First responders transported Lance Cpl. Marcelino M. Gamino, 28, Lance Cpl. Albert A. Aguilera, 22, and a third Marine to an area hospital, where Gamino and Aguilera died. The third Marine remains in critical condition.

Update: Officials release more info concerning deadly crash on Morrow Avenue Northeast

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities have provided more details on the wreck that claimed the life of an elderly woman on the 9400 block of Morrow Avenue Northeast Wednesday evening, according to ABQRaw.

An elderly woman was driving a white Chrysler van when she came home around 5:17 p.m. and tried to park in the driveway, which is positioned on an incline.

A preliminary investigation found that the woman exited the van without putting it into park mode. Not long after, she was run over by the van as it began to roll backwards.

The victim died on the way to the hospital.

The incident is under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Team.

Auto accident disrupts traffic near downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to NMRoads, a crash blocked traffic on Interstate 40 near mile marker 160 Friday Morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 7:54 a.m.
