Update: Officials ID hit-and-run suspect for crash near downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE, officials have provided more information on a hit-and-run that occurred near Central Avenue and Coors Boulevard Northwest on May 22.

An off-duty police officer, Ezekiel Florez, 29, was allegedly riding a white motorcycle west with a passenger at high speeds when he collided with a pedestrian.

Following the collision, Florez reportedly continued heading west.

First responders transported the pedestrian to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities charged  Florez with knowingly leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily harm.

2 hurt in pedestrian collision on Interstate 25 in San Miguel County

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, NM – Two people were hurt in a pedestrian crash in San Miguel County on May 12, according to KRQE.

Mistidawn Roybal, 20, was driving when she turned around to check on her dog and hit two construction workers in a work zone.

Both men went airborne upon impact. They both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities charged Roybal with two misdemeanor charges and a third-degree felony for reckless driving.

Wreck reported near La Mesa

LA MESA, NM – According to NMRoads, a crash on New Mexico 28 was reported to authorities Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred on New Mexico 28 near mile marker 10 around 8:09 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
