ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was critically injured Tuesday afternoon when they were hit by a driver on Central Avenue in east Albuquerque, reports KRQE.
The incident took place at the intersection with Eubank Boulevard, in the city’s Towne Park area. It was first reported by dispatchers at 1:14 p.m.

At this time, authorities have not provided information on the parties involved, but the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where they were listed in critical condition.
A section of eastbound Central Avenue past Eubank Boulevard was closed as crews responded to the scene.
No other details have been released as of this writing, but the Albuquerque Police Department was investigating.
