ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A two-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning forced all northbound lanes of Interstate 25 to close near Albuquerque’s Big-I, according to KOB4.

The collision took place on a stretch of I-25 northbound just before the I-40 interchange, near the city’s University West area, shortly before 6:19 a.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but Albuquerque police confirmed one vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash.

No serious injuries have been reported, but all northbound lanes from the interchange (Big-I) were closed as crews cleared the scene. The I-25 northbound onramp from I-40 westbound was also blocked.

By 8:00 a.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
