Teenage driver strikes, kills man in Hobbs

HOBBS, NM – A teenage driver fatally collided with a man near E Broadway St and S Turner St on Sunday, according to KOAT.

Casey and Leroy Gonzalez were in the area while Leroy was flying his drone. Leroy’s drone lost connection, so he went to look for it.

A teenager driving a maroon truck ran over Leroy and dragged him for about half a block. Witnesses stopped the driver and did not let him leave the area.

Police have not made any arrests in connection to the incident.

Wreck reported on I-25 near Chamizal

CHAMIZAL, NM – A traffic accident was reported on I-25 near mile marker 150 on Tuesday, according to NMRoads.

The incident happened around 7:56 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Crews respond to wreck in Stinson Tower

STINSON TOWER, NM – According to BCSO, deputies responded to a traffic accident at Tower Rd SW and Coors Blvd SW on Monday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 4:18 p.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
