Teen airlifted after ATV accident in far west Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized Sunday following a ATV crash in a remote area west of Albuquerque, reports KRQE.

Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department and firefighters responded to the scene near Route 66 Casino Hotel on June 5.

It was unclear what led up to the collision or whether other occupants were in the all-terrain vehicle, but the teen was flown to the city by helicopter and transported to a hospital.

At this time, the extent of the victim’s injuries remain undisclosed.
