Suspected drunk driver crashes through wall of Albuquerque home

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Police responded to a car crash at a home in northeast Albuquerque last Friday morning, according to a KRQE report.

The vehicle went through a cinder block wall and ended up in the home’s backyard.

 The driver, who was suspected of driving drunk, was taken into custody and placed into an Albuquerque Police Department patrol unit. There was no immediate word regarding whether charges would be filed. No injuries were reported.

The homeowner said this was the sixth time someone has driven through her wall, and a temporary fence has been installed at the house.

4-vehicle pileup blocks traffic at intersection in Roswell

ROSWELL, NM – A multi-vehicle accident caused road closures in a section of Roswell on Friday morning.

According to an advisory from the Roswell Police Department, police and firefighters responded to the scene on West 19th Street at the intersection with North Main Street. Four vehicles were involved in the wreck, which took place at about 9:40 a.m.

Minor injuries were reported. Traffic was temporarily blocked in both directions on West 19th Street, but traffic on Main Street was not affected.

An update was issued about two hours later saying that West 19th Street had been reopened.

Crash shuts down eastbound Montano Road in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Emergency responders were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in northeast Albuquerque late Saturday night.

An alert from APD Traffic at 11:26 p.m. stated that the accident happened at the intersection of Montano Road and Pan American Freeway.

Eastbound Montano Road west of Pan American was shut down while the scene was being cleared.
