Several hurt after city bus crashes near I-25 east of downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Multiple people were injured Thursday in a crash involving a city bus near Albuquerque’s Santa Barbara-Martineztown area, reports KRQE.

The accident happened at the intersection of Lomas Boulevard Northeast and Locust Street Northeast, near the Interstate 25 overpass.

It was unclear what led up to the event, but an early investigation indicates the bus jumped a curb and came to rest near the base of the overpass.

Albuquerque police said several people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed the number of those hurt or whether any other vehicles were involved.
