BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to multiple wrecks Monday evening on Interstate 40 in east Albuquerque, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accidents were reported on the eastbound lanes near Tramway Boulevard Northeast, in the city’s Singing Arrow and North Four Hills areas. BCSO officials arrived at the scene shortly before 4:52 p.m.
It was unclear whether the incidents were related, but all eastbound traffic was forced to get by through a single open lane. Motorists were urged to reduce speed and be mindful of weather conditions impacting travel.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., more than 90 minutes after the initial BCSO report, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were announced reopened.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not disclosed any information regarding potential injuries.
