Semi-truck rollover accident shuts down Interstate 40 eastbound

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities were dispatched to a semi-truck accident in Albuquerque late Wednesday night.

According to a traffic alert from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at 10:42 a.m., the semi was involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 40. Eastbound I-40 was closed at Atrisco Vista Boulevard while crews worked the scene. No major injuries were reported.

Drivers were advised to follow all detour signs. The BCSO released an update at 2:45 a.m. saying that all lanes had been reopened.

Lanes closed on US 491 in both directions following crash

TWIN LAKES, NM – The New Mexico Department of Transportation alerted drivers to a crash affecting traffic in McKinley County during Wednesday evening’s commute.

An advisory sent by NMRoads at 5:20 p.m. stated that the incident occurred on U.S. 491, three miles north of Twin Lakes.

The northbound and southbound left lanes of the highway were closed as a result. Motorists were urged to drive with caution, reduce speed, and obey all posted traffic signs in the area.

Driver arrested for DWI in Chaves County wreck

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – An alleged drunk driver was arrested following a crash in Chaves County on Monday, the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The sheriff’s office responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on U.S. 70 westbound. The road was closed until 7:35 p.m., when all lanes were reopened.

The driver was arrested for DWI. There were no reports of injuries.
