DOÑA ANA COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews were called to a rollover semi-truck crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 25 near Radium Springs, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of I-25 between mileposts 25 and 26, north of the census-designated area. It was first reported by NMDOT at 9:15 a.m.

Officials have not released details regarding the cause of the wreck, but photos taken at the scene show a tractor-trailer overturned on its driver’s side. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously hurt.

The passing southbound lane was blocked in the aftermath. Motorists were asked to slow down and use extra caution as crews worked the scene. Delays were expected in the area.

By 12:23 p.m., more than three hours later, NMDOT announced the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
