SANDOVAL COUNTY, NM — A crash investigation Monday morning kept an intersection closed for nearly four hours in Rio Rancho’s Golf Course Corridor, according to the Rio Rancho Police Department.
The accident happened at the corner of Golf Course Road Southeast and Cabezon Boulevard Southeast/19th Avenue Southeast. Rio Rancho Police were on the scene investigating the wreck at around 6:00 a.m.
At this time, authorities have not released any information regarding the circumstances of the crash or the involved parties.
Motorists were instructed to avoid the scene and find alternate routes.
By 9:52 a.m., investigators had cleared out of the roadway and the intersection was reopened, though the RRPD warned that traffic lights would remain out of order until they can be repaired.
Due to an ongoing vehicle crash investigation, please avoid the intersection of Golf Course and Cabezon. An update will be posted when the intersection is clear.

Local agencies have not confirmed any injuries connected to the accident.
