BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — Deputies responded to a rollover crash involving a pickup truck Monday morning in North Valley’s Alameda area, reports KOB4.

The collision occurred on 2nd Street between Alameda Boulevard Northeast (New Mexico State Road 528) and St. Francis Road Northwest. Officials with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office first tweeted about the incident at 10:36 a.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but the pickup truck overturned and collided with a power pole and a gas line. Moments later, the gas ignited, causing the pole to catch fire.

Crews were able to quickly contain the flames, but motorists were warned of delays during the emergency response and roadway clearance. Repairs were also required before the lanes could be reopened.

A section of 2nd Street remained blocked in both directions for over an hour. By 12:45 p.m., all southbound lanes were reopened, while only a single northbound lane was announced reopened.

Authorities have not disclosed any information regarding those involved. No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
