Rollover semi crash closes part of I-40 WB near Arizona state line

MCKINLEY COUNTY, NM — A rollover collision involving a semi-truck was reported Thursday afternoon on Interstate 40 in southwest Manuelito, according to NM Roads.

The accident occurred on the westbound lanes at mile marker 2, about two miles east of the Arizona state line. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index at 12:43 p.m.

Officials have not released details regarding the cause of the wreck, but all westbound lanes were blocked in the area, and all traffic was being re-routed to NM-118 at mile marker 8.

Motorists were urged to reduce speed and approach the area with extra caution. Delays were expected.

As of this writing, no injuries have been confirmed, and no updates have been shared.
