TAOS COUNTY, NM — Emergency crews responded to a rollover wreck Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 64 near east Taos, according to NMRoads.
The accident impacted a span of the highway west of Valle Escondido Road and 13 miles east of the city. It was first recorded in the NM Roads map index shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Authorities have not said what caused the motor vehicle to overturn or whether another vehicle was involved, but a section of the highway was closed in both directions.
The closure remained in place for at least 45 minutes. As of 3:48 p.m., crews continued working to clear the roadway.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously injured.
