Rollover crash on I-25 in Santa Fe leaves driver critically injured

SANTA FE, NM – Police in Santa Fe were dispatched to a rollover accident on Interstate 25 last Thursday evening, the Santa Fe New Mexican reported.

The crash happened on I-25 south near exit 278 for Cerrillos Road. Responding officers found the driver injured inside the vehicle. The person was in critical condition after being transported to the hospital by paramedics with the Santa Fe Fire Department.

Police are investigating the cause of the single-vehicle wreck.

Crews respond to fatal accident on I-40 west of Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A fatal accident closed a portion of Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque early Sunday morning, according to KRQE.

The multi-vehicle wreck took place near the Route 66 Casino, and resulted in a fire. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene along with fire and rescue crews. Multiple patients were treated by first responders, and at least one fatality was reported.

The westbound lanes of I-40 were shut down at mile marker 144 during the crash response and investigation. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.

Lanes shut down on interstate in Albuquerque due to crash

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Drivers were advised of a crash affecting traffic on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque on Friday afternoon.

An alert posted by NMRoads at 1:07 p.m. stated that the incident happened on I-40 westbound at mile marker 158 near 4th Street.

The left two lanes and both the left and right shoulders of the interstate were closed while emergency crews were responding.

Officials urged drivers to reduce speed and use caution when traveling through the area.
