Police investigate deadly crash near Jerry Cline Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE, one person died following a two-vehicle collision at Lomas Blvd NE and Pennsylvania St NE on Wednesday night.

The driver of a 2013 silver Chevrolet SUV was heading west on Lomas Blvd NE and tried to turn onto Pennsylvania St when he was hit by a person driving a 2021 white Jeep. The SUV driver claimed he had a green light and a green arrow.

The collision sent the Jeep crashing into a telephone pole. It then rolled over onto the driver’s side.

Emergency crews extricated the Jeep driver from the vehicle and pronounced him dead at the scene.

First responders transported the SUV driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident. They do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.

Wreck reported on US 84 near Chili

CHILI, NM – A traffic accident was reported on US 84 near mile marker 199, 1 mile north of Chili, on Thursday, according to NMRoads.

The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.

Emergency crews respond to wreck in Zuzax

ZUZAX, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, first responders were called to the scene of a traffic accident on I-40 WB near Zuzax on Thursday.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident around 5:12 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
